Back in 1998, then Mayor, Ed Rotchford, saw a need to provide financial support to students in the community who were pursuing post-secondary educational opportunities. He approached a group of local businessmen about starting a scholarship program, a Dollars for Scholars chapter. Now, as we enter our 26th year, we are proud of the progress we have made in increasing the number of scholarships offered as well as the dollar amount of the awards. Through successful fundraising, the scholarship awards have increased from $1,000 to $4,000.

We will be offering the following awards for the 2024-2025 academic year:

  • Six -  $4,000 one-year Academic Scholarships
  • One - $4,000 Charles E. Priester one-year Academic Scholarship
